I'm Natasha Bakhshov, a contemporary figurative painter based in Marbella, originally from London.

Painting for me, is a way of entering my inner world. My figures are not portraits in a traditional sense but are relections of the soul and subconscious. In a space of imagination, emotion and memory they are paintings created from a place of intuition. It is very important for me to work intuitively and so I try and create space for stillness on a daily basis - to meditate, to watch the clouds. In a world of constant motion, I make time to do nothing and avoid the constant connectivity. Somewhere in this space is where my ideas emerge.

My paintings invite viewers to look beyond surface appearances and connect with something deeper, something that lingers, like a scent on a summer breeze.
